Ingredients
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2 Tbs lemon juice
- 2 Tbs white distilled vinegar
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 4 6-8oz skinless salmon fillets
- Cooked rice optional
Instructions
- In medium sized saucepan add your honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, lemon juice, vinegar, olive oil, pepper, cayenne, paprika and garlic powder and whisk together until combined.
- Heat over medium-high heat until boiling then reduce heat to medium-low to simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened.
- To grill your salmon heat your grill to medium, you can also use a grill pan on the stove.
- Rub both sides of your fillets with olive oil and then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Grill the salmon about 5-6 minutes per side minutes per side or until done.
- Remove to plate and brush salmon with sauce.
- Serve over cooked rice and a side of the sauce for dipping.
